Contact, Phone, and Mail
PayTel Communications Inc. is the detainee telephone provider. Calls are recorded and monitored. Call forwarding and three-way calling are not allowed, and refunds for dropped calls to cell phones are not issued. The maximum call time is 15 minutes. The county says free phone call or video visitation opportunities may be available using PayTel kiosks in the lobby.
Family and loved-one video visits depend on the detainee adding the person as a contact. Scheduling early matters because limited kiosks in detainee housing areas may prevent a preferred time slot. Attorney visits are different from social visits and use the attorney/client room or other approved interview setting.
Mail does not enter the facility directly. Letters, cards, and postcards must be sent for scanning into the ICS/Inmate Communications System. Commissary items include hygiene items, stationery, clothing basics, shower sandals, certain over-the-counter medications, snacks, candy, and condiments.
